Welcome to The RAWRMY’S first official newsletter! I hope to give you a bit of insight as to what The RAWRMY is all about and how you can join up.

I’ll also be giving away free twitch overlays along the way! Because who doesn’t enjoy free stuff?

First to give away:

The RAWRMY logo! Feel free to display it on your profile. With this logo as our first gift to you, I’d like to take a second to quickly go over the intentions of The RAWRMY as a group.

Our Reason To Be

Simply put, this is the first generation to grow up with complete access to online media. We game through worldwide multiplayer daily. We read news, and opinions from across the world in a fraction of a second. We host online events for charity that contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to organizations we previously didn’t know existed.

It’s incredible how the online generation has the potential to change the world so quickly. However, as it’s often said, “with great power comes great responsibility”. It seems cliche yes, but under every cliche is a real life moral. In this case: we have the ability to hurt, defame, mislead, and display incorrect information faster than ever before. The trick is to stifle the negative traits while we help the positive ones grow. Simple right? Wrong. If things were that easy, the world would be a completely different place.

That being said, The RAWRMY is a group of individuals who understand the personal responsibility involved with being the first true online generation. We aim to show no mercy when it comes to online bigotry, tabloid journalism, and the basic disrespect of other peoples lives in the ocean we call the internet.

How do you know if The RAWRMY is a place for you? Well, as you read the following passage to yourself really think about the words you’re saying. If you find yourself feeling empowered, and hopeful, Welcome To The RAWRMY:

“I would rather speak more clearly, than more loudly, knowing my words carry the weight of my future, and the future of those who hear them.

I would rather think more accurately, than more quickly, understanding that the popular opinion is made that through listlessness not conscious recognition. Ignorance and laziness are never an excuse for outrage.

I would rather improve myself, than make excuses, aware that I am the most important factor in the success of my actions.”

The Fun Stuff

I think most of those reading this are going to be here through Twitch.tv and it’s for them that this section exists! Live streaming is a large part of The RAWRMY and effectively gives us a chance to put ourselves out there in the online community and really show that gaming is the utopia of the internet. Not an endless trash heap. There are things to be learned, personalities to cultivate. Artists, musicians, programmers, writers, and a nearly uncountable amount of positive things that gaming contributes to in terms of online culture. So why not find your place in all of that?

Here are a few things to get you started:

RAWRMY Profile Buttons!

Profile buttons are a way to show your support for The RAWRMY in addition to making your profile feel more cohesive! Use as many or as few as you’d like. Each file is individual.

Also as part of the free starter package, here are some Webcam overlays!

Fairly simple, but one of the biggest points I can stress about The RAWRMY is I’ll always have more respect for someone who does something, than some who has the greatest ideas in the world, but never actually executes anything.

Anyways, on with more free stuff! Here are a couple full screen overlays!

Sometimes a game just looks better in fullscreen! That’s where those overlays come in. Personally I do most of my gaming in windowed mode, just a preference thing.

A couple more things to add in. Here is a “Loading Screen” just a simple .gif to be displayed when you’re online and waiting for the crowd to roll in!

There’s also a “header” I crafted. It has limited uses, but hell, maybe you’ll think of something I haven’t?

The Test

Now that we’re getting towards the end of the first newsletter I’d like to do a few things. One of which being to say thank you for being someone who cares enough to be reading this right now. Second: is to give you a practical example of The RAWRMY ideals.

If I replaced the title with “New FREE Professional Twitch.tv overlays!” how many more people would have read this article? My guess is nearly x10. However, the quality of those people might negate everything we are trying to do here. So think of this first unsuspecting newsletter as the first trial on the road to becoming a member of The RAWRMY. By simply being here, you passed the test.
